Boccob Monastery(open)

"Right... well if you don't mind I have work to do." Arid bent down and retrieved his gardening equipment and started walking down he path to the garden.

Phyrflie shrugged cassually, "I don't know if you can help me..."

"Right, so what can I help you with" Arid asked in a restrained tone. Every muscle in his body was screaming to attack.

Phyrflie smiled like a cat playing with a mouse, "Just curoius..." she said, slowly begining to walk in a circle around him, studying him and looking him up and down...

Arid turned around startled. What the hell was a drow doing on the mountain, near his monastery no less. "Who the hell are you and what do you want?" Arid asked after recovering from his surprise. His hand unconsciously clenched and fire started to flicker on and off around it.

Phyrflie sat there for a moment. What could it hurt? What was the worst that could happen?
She dropped down behind the man with the hat, he heard nothing.
"Boo," she said in a silky voice, her undercommon accent obvious in it.

Arid saw the globe of darkness. He chuckled to himself. It is another caster out to have a little fun with me he reasoned. Well I can always deal with that head on. Arid released his invisibility spell and walked back to the path. He turned east toward the monastery and said calmly "Come on out I know you are there and if you don't I have ways of finding you."

Phyrflie saw the light. She wondered why he would cast a spell like that...
The light, however, hurt her eyes, and she couldn't keep track of where anything was. Frustrated, she cast a globe of darkness over the ball of light, a spell that was natural to all drow, and dispelled them both.
Light in high concentrations still stung her eyes, no matter how long she stayed on the surface...

Arid heard the sound coming from behind him. He knew that his spell ws still in place so he moved as slowly as possible for the monk and turned around and saw no one. So whoever is stalking me has seen through his trick huh. Well I will just have to think of something different. HE cast a spell that was innate to his race and released a globe of light in the center of the trail and then cast a dimension door spell that transported him to the other side of the trail.

Phyrflie watched the man dissapear from sight and watched his fottsteps move off to the side of the road.
Her eyes narrowed, he knew she was following him. She must be getting rusty...
Phyrflie whistled the way she'd seen a man whistle at a woman once. A cat-call.
However, she was able to throw it so it sounded as if it were coming from right behind where the man had snuck off the path to.

As Arid walked he kept getting the sense of being followed. After a while he stopped and set down his equipment uttered a short phrase and turned himself invisible.He then moved over to the side of the trail to wait for somebody to show themselves. He thought it was odd somebody ws traili9ng him though. He was just a minor monk in a temple full of powerful wizards and enlightened clerics.

Phyrflie walked silently along thick branches that stretched and bent this was and that. she moved silently, without even a rustle of leaves as she followed the man.
It was fun to stalk some form of prey after so very long

Arid ws confused. No ever came to this side of the mountain. The monastery was put on that site for that exact reason. He deabated weather or not to go back and report the tracks to the clerics or at least his mentor. He decided against it. He would still be punished if he didn't get his duties done tracks or no. As he stood up he looked to the sky to judge the time. As he did so he caught a dark form amongst the trees he was standing under. He blinked but couldn't see it again. He started walking along the trail again.

Phyrflie was watching the man from above in a tree. She was curious about him.
He bent to study something on the ground. When she looked closely, she saw that they were her own tracks...
Damn... she thought to herself.

Arid dismissed it as an unruly novice and continued walking down the path. The monastery fields were about half an hours walk to the east. He sighed, I couldn't even get one day off he thought. He walked further down the path and noticed the same tracks as before. He paused next to a rather large oak and studied the path. Hmm... these don't look like the marks of novice sandals. HE bent to look at the tracks closer...

Phyrflie heard the doors opening again, that low rumbling sound...
She had given up trying to figure out the door, and had begun walking away, but now she turned to see the man in the hat. He hadn't seemed to notice her yet, and she moved behind a tree, peeking out around it so as little of her was showing as possible.

Arid quickly changed and went to the briefing with the clerics. He quickly stated the state of affairs in the plane of Fire. The clerics thanked him for his work on sent him to do his daily chores around the monastery. HE checked the list of duties on found his name. "Great... I gardening" he groaned to know one in particular. He hated gardening, it was on the top of the valley that the monastery was hidden in. It was a pretty lon walk to and from and it was cold. He went to his room and collected the tolls and headed out the front doors. Outside he spotted odd tracks in the dirt around the door and a piece of recently bitten fruit. He was puzzled.

Phyrflie had sepnt days on the mountain range. She hadn't been able to find work in all of Zaikiir, had spent so much time trying to, but had failed at every turn.
She was homeless and cold, and angry.
She'd heard a rustling noise and had looked down from her perch in a tree to see a man in grey with a wide-brimmed hat enter through a pair of hidden double doors in the mountain side.
Phyrflie's jaw dropped and the peice of fruit she'd just bitten into fell out.
She dropped from the tree as the doors closed, silent as a shaodw thanks to her magickal boots and fell into a crouch. She cautiously approached the door and started examining it...

Arid had just got back from his most recent trip into the elemental plane of fire. He was sent by the clerics of his order to check on the recent uprising of the genii there. Arid had to pull out due to both sides requesting his aide in dealing with the other. He strode through the large double doors at the entrance to the hidden monastery and moved to the main staircase where he was hailed by several novices. He was widely popular for some reason he attracted every bodies attention wherever he went. After a few minutes discussion he excused himself and hurried to his room. He needed to change out his scorched clothes and into presentable ones in order to give his debriefing to the clerics.
